What is a Virtual Assistant?
A virtual assistant (typically abbreviated to VA, also called a virtual office assistant) is generally self-employed and provides professional administrative, technical, or creative (social) assistance to clients remotely from a home office. Because virtual assistants are independent contractors rather than employees, clients are not responsible for any employee-related taxes, insurance or benefits, except in the context that those indirect expenses are included in the VA’s fees. Clients also avoid the logistical problem of providing extra office space, equipment or supplies. Clients pay for 100% productive work, and can work with Virtual Assistants, individually, or in multi-VA firms to meet their exact needs.

How do you calculate the hours?
All work will be timed using Toggl timing software. You will only be invoiced for the hours and minutes that you use. You will receive a copy of your Toggl statement with your invoice. This doesn’t include comfort breaks or making coffee! On invoicing the minutes are rounded up to the nearest 15 minutes.
What are the benefits of using a virtual assistant?
Key benefits are:
• Save money – pay for what you use, no PAYE, NI, pensions, holidays or sick pay
• Give you back time – so that you can focus on your core business
• Alleviate the pressure during busy periods
• Flexible – can alter the hours needed, month by month
• No office space or equipment needed
Very often owners of small businesses and start-up businesses must be a ‘jack of all trades’. Not only do you need to know your own market inside out, whether it be products or services, you need to be furnished with many other skills for your business to thrive.
Perhaps you are comfortable finding your way around accounts packages and the like, however, often there becomes a time that you simply cannot do it all.
At Imola Assist we can alleviate the pressure and ensure that the tasks you that don’t have time for; don’t have the skills to do or quite honestly prefer not to do, will be taken care of in an efficient and professional manner.
